Galleries: Sculpture
We are surrounded by man-made materials and objects fabricated by obscure factory process. While all the great carvings of the world have been made essentially the same way, by reducing a block of stone to reveal the form inside, often by hand. This reductive simplicity and the wonderful variety of stones with their geological history of our landscape are what attracts me to the art.
